Mobile
Converdia offers mobile solutions through its platform and custom application development for web and/or smartphones. The platform consists of tools for creating mobile advertising, doing mobile messaging, and initiating mobile interactions, and is provisioned with its own telephone carrier short codes.
The Converdia Platform
Mobile advertising content may be created in SMS format, as ads hosted by Converdia, or SMSs linked to hosted ads. Converdia also allows customers to track ad visits and view other metrics detailing ad performance over time. Mobile ads may be sent to customers as a response to a customer call to action, or once a customer has opted in, through Mobile Messaging.
Mobile messaging provides the ability to send messages of a variety of types, messages that may be flexibly scheduled and sent to an entire customer base. Easy to set up quick notes, Mobile Advertising content, and helpful appointment reminders may all be conveniently sent from the Converdia platform user interface.
Customer databases can also be built by associating groups of contacts to ads. When a customer texts in to Converdia, he or she is automatically added to the associated group. Groups are also opt-out savvy, and reflect all subsequent user opt-outs.
Converdia also provides an easy way for customers to see how many messages they have sent, by account or subaccount.
Mobile interactions allow companies to poll mobile users about their preferences and opinions, and all through multi-message exchanges. Converdia then displays the results in its user interface, showing all the answers to the questions of the interaction, and the time of the completed interaction.
As a result of participation, coupon codes and ads containing special offers may be sent to users. And like Mobile Ads, Mobile Interactions may be "pushed" to a customer base as well as be initiated by customers sending SMSs to a Converdia short code.
Mobile Application Development
In addition to its mobile platform, Converdia offers business partners the opportunity to build websites for mobile devices, smartphone "apps", and niche-market mobile services applications.
Converdia has built WAP sites for a variety of partners, including short term portals and larger, more complex sites for redemption programs that make use of the partner's own business technologies. A portal site might enter users into contests, such as a "Quit Plan" portal, a marketing campaign to assist mobile users in quitting cigarette smoking, or manage a rewards program for customer loyalty by tapping into the business partner's web service API through customer interaction with a mobile friendly, device-agnostic, public presentation.
Converdia has also prototyped a web portal for managing the tracking of medical specimens between medical care institutions using GPS and SMS. Its beta clients have gotten up to speed in very short times with the application's highly usable interface, and it has been significantly tested in the field, including in the air transport circuit.
Social
Converdia is making plans to offer new services that stem from the rise of global social media, and is positioned to capture the potential of the social media space given its mobile SMS platform as well as its custom application development.
Social media of today make social relationships explicit, and therefore, connections between users of a virtual community provide opportunities for greater dialogue about products and business services. Social media can potentially strengthen business services, since word of mouth spreads so quickly. And given the way advertising is now custom-fitted to the content of user social profiles, the trajectory may indeed be short from ads in the sidebar of a user's profile to his/her experience with business products and services and beyond, to his/her product loyalty.
Emerging Markets
Converdia has also recently ventured into the nascent sales space of consumer experience coupled with "augmented" reality. It hopes to offer an augmented reality application in retail display contexts. In such contexts, the system will be connected to product feeds from the businesses housing the retail display, and is envisioned to organically interact with customers who trigger opportunities to browse store inventory.
